2020 Meeting cancellations

Because of Maryland’s Shelter-In-Place Order

MWA has Cancelled all in-person meetings until further notice

Due to concerns about the Coronavirus, we have been forced to cancel this month’s meeting, Writer’s Block Workshop, and postpone the workshop with C.J. Crowe to another month.

In part, this is because Maryland Hall will be closed from March 16 to April 24.

Since the Maryland Hall will be closed through April 24, Putting Yourself Out There, the Public Life of the Writer, on April 15, has also been canceled. We are currently looking into the possibility of doing this as a webinar. We will let you know more details soon.

The Open Mic event on April 18 has also been canceled. Anne Arundel libraries have canceled all scheduled events through May 2, so we were left with no choice. As soon as we are able to find a new date for this event, we will reschedule it and post the new information here and through email.

The MWA Conference, Brain to Bookshelf 2020, has been canceled as well. The next conference will be held in 2021.
