May 2015 talk at the Annapolis MWA – Paul Lagasse and Gary Lester

On May 20th, 2015, Paul Lagasse and Gary Lester will jointly give a presentation titled “Turn WordPress Into a Powerful Publishing Platform”. When most people think of WordPress, they think “blog.” But WordPress is much more than that. It is a powerful tool for easily managing web content — not just words, but also photos, video, podcasts, documents, and more. WordPress is also highly customizable, with a nearly infinite variety of themes and plugins to choose from. Find out how science fiction authors Paul Lagasse and Gary Lester customized WordPress to publish and promote their serial short stories and podcasts on Channel 37, and the tricks and tips they learned along the way. It will be for a non-expert audience.

The meeting is open to the public and free to MWA members and first-time guests. All others may pay $5.00. Annual dues to MWA are $40.00 and include other benefits on top of monthly attendance. The Annapolis MWA chapter typically meets the third Wednesday of every month in room 205 at Maryland Hall. Maryland Hall is located at 801 Chase Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.
